TO THE MEMBERS OF OUR SCSD FAMILY

We are extremely appreciative of your cooperation and patience as we work to contend with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. We greatly value your health and safety, and that of the men and women in our care and custody, which is why we have implemented stringent measures to sanitize and protect our facilities against infection, and continue to enhance our safety protocols as this situation evolves.

We also recognize the impact that cancelling visits can have on those in our care and custody and their families, which is why we’re providing each person with two free telephone calls per-week during this period so that families can stay in touch.

Additionally, we would like to remind everyone to continue practicing social distancing and cannot stress enough the importance of frequent handwashing with soap and water, and refraining from touching your face before you’ve washed your hands.

And, finally, we want to recognize the incredible men and women of the Department who work tirelessly, selflessly and often with little praise for everything that they do to keep everyone safe, secure and healthy. We give you our thanks and gratitude.

Again, we are so very grateful for your patience and understanding as we face these extraordinary circumstances together.
