Sheriff Tompkins (far left) with (left to right): State Representative RoseLee Vincent, Director of the Rossetti–Cowan Senior Center Stephen Fielding, Mayor of Revere Dan Rizzo, and candidate for Suffolk County Register of Probate John Sepulveda.

Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins recently visited Revere to join members of the Rossetti–Cowan Senior Center in celebration of Father’s Day and, also, in recognition of Flag Day.

The Flag Day/Father’s Day luncheon brought more than one hundred seniors to the center who took part in raffles, gift giveaways, music and dancing.

Along with Sheriff Tompkins, several other elected representatives were also in attendance including Mayor of Revere Dan Rizzo and State Representative RoseLee Vincent.

Midway through the event, Sheriff Tompkins received an opportunity to address the many attendees and wish them a “Happy Father’s Day.”

“I just want to say Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers in the crowd, and to all of the mothers that gave birth to all of the fathers here,” said Sheriff Tompkins. “What I love about coming to Revere is that it is a real, old–fashioned community. What I mean by that is when you come to Revere, everyone knows everyone and they make you feel welcome. Every time I come here, it’s a real pleasure and a joy, and I really do appreciate you having me. I look forward to seeing you again.”
