SUFFOLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT PARTICIPATED IN EAST BOSTON NEIGHBORHOOD GATHERING

East Boston — Members of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department participated in the 5th Annual “United We Stand” Barbecue and Social Gathering at Shore Plaza East on Friday, August 26.

Sheriff’s Department Corporal Tom DeRosa, Public Affairs Officer, Edward Geary Jr., Community Relations Officer, Heather McNeil, and Coordinator of Community Affairs, Ann Stanton each handed out activity books with Junior Deputy Sheriff badges to the children. Corporal DeRosa also fingerprinted local youths as part of the Ident-a-Youth program.

The Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department Ident-a-Youth program works in cooperation with local law enforcement agencies, local civic associations, and area schools. The department fingerprints children at educational, social, and community events throughout Suffolk County.
