Dorchester—Inmates
participating in the Community Works Program at the Suffolk County
Sheriff’s Department painted the gymnasium at the Gallivan
Community Center in Dorchester on Thursday, March 24th. The Sheriff’s
Department has been in collaboration with the Gallivan Community
Center for
over six years now continuously providing help with snow removal,
landscaping, ground clean-up and building upkeep. Beverly Mines,
the Program Supervisor at the Gallivan Community Center commented, “We
have a good partnership with the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department.
Anything we need done, they do it. It’s been great.”
