SUFFOLK COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT BIKES IN RODMAN RIDE FOR KIDS

Foxboro, MA—On Saturday October 2nd Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department employees Deputy Tom DeRosa and Mike Falanga, both from Brighton, biked 50 miles in the annual Rodman Ride for Kids. The ride was a huge success with more than $3.5 million raised for children's social service agencies in Massachusetts. Nearly 1200 riders rode 25, 50 or 100 miles throughout southeastern Massachusetts.

Each participant in the Rodman Ride for Kids was responsible for raising a minimum of $500 worth of pledges. The donations go towards a variety of critical programs that support kids across New England such as The Big Brother and Big Sister Association of Massachusetts, The Boston Police Activities League, The Key Program, Inc. and the Mass Mentoring Partnership (MMP). These programs all strive to improve the lives of underprivileged children by helping these children overcome different obstacles.
