Jamaica Plain—On July 13, Sheriff Andrea J. Cabral visited the Farnsworth House in Jamaica Plain to provide the seniors living there with identification cards. The Elderly Identification program is an innovative approach designed to extend to seniors of Suffolk County an identification card that can be used as a second form of identification but also has contact and medical information if an emergency situation arises. The Sheriff spoke to the seniors about the public safety programs offered by the Department and encouraged them to take advantage of these programs.
