The Suffolk County Sheriff's Department has awarded Eagle Elevator
a three-year contract for the maintenance and repair of the elevator
system at the Suffolk County House of Correction. The term of
the contract is July 2004 through June of 2007.
"After experiencing consistent problems with the elevators
I felt it was time to bring in an independent consultant to evaluate
the entire system," states Sheriff Andrea Cabral. "Once
the system is repaired the independent consultant will return for
a final inspection."
Eagle Elevator will visit the facility twice a month. Their first
priority will be to get all elevators running smoothly. Secondly,
they will thoroughly clean the elevators and make any repairs necessary.
Debbie Driscoll, Chief of Operations and Planning at the House
of Correction stated, “I feel very positive about this company
and am confident that they will get the job done.”
