Standards & Compliance
The Division of Standards and Compliance is responsible for maintaining
ongoing compliance with local, state and federal standards. The division coordinates
and facilitates the survey and inspection of both the House of Correction and Jail
conducted by external agencies or organizations.
The division members also attend periodic meetings with the MSA/DOC Standards Committee to
review proposed revisions to County Correctional Facility Standards
Employees of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department also participate in Policy
Review Committee meetings to promote standards compliance.
