Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins recently hosted a group of Boston Police Department captains at the Suffolk County House of Correction for a meeting to discuss the establishment of a central lockup for Suffolk County.
Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins and the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department recently introduced a Summer Enrichment Program (SEP) for eleventh and twelfth grade high school students interested in the world of law enforcement. In addition to participating in job shadowing internships and field trips every week, program participants receive the opportunity to meet and speak with professionals from the world of law enforcement.
In a continuation of the sustained relief efforts given by members of the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department in the wake of the destructive tornado that ripped through the City of Revere this past Monday morning, Suffolk County Sheriff Steven W. Tompkins joined Revere Mayor Dan Rizzo and U.S. Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey, Senator Anthony Petruccelli, and State Representative RoseLee Vincent to announce the formation of the Revere Tornado Relief Fund.
